You are not alone
When carrying it all starts to feel like too much
You may have noticed that worry, sadness or old experiences are taking up more room in your life than they used to.
- Worry that is hard to switch off
- Feeling low, flat or disconnected
- Being on edge, or startling easily
- Sleep that is restless or broken
- Reacting in ways that do not feel like you
Experiences like these are common, and they make sense. Your nervous system has been working hard to protect you. Therapy offers a safe place to understand what is happening and to find a steadier way forward.
A different way to see it
Your mind and body are not working against you
Anxiety, low mood and the effects of trauma live in the body as well as the mind. When the nervous system stays on alert, thoughts race, sleep suffers and even small stresses can feel large. Understanding that connection can make change feel more possible.
Molly brings together proven talk therapy methods, such as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness, with attention to the nervous system. That way you learn new ways of thinking and practical ways to feel calmer in your body.
How therapy with Molly works
Regulate. Integrate. Optimize.
Sessions are 45 minutes, in person or by telehealth. Your therapy is shaped around you and guided by the three principles behind everything at Integrated Functional Health.
-
01
Regulate
Learn ways to calm your nervous system, so you feel safe enough to look at what is hard.
-
02
Integrate
Help the different parts of your brain work together, so thoughts, emotions and body sensations can feel more connected and easier to manage.
-
03
Optimize
Build the skills, relationships and routines that support your wellbeing between sessions and after therapy ends.

Your therapist
Molly Hinke-DeWild, LISW
Molly is a licensed independent social worker in Iowa and an owner of Integrated Functional Health. She holds three master’s degrees: a Master of Social Work, an MA in Clinical Psychology and an MBA. Her path to therapy began in business, in banking and in running businesses of her own. As a therapist she has worked with people of all ages, from children to older adults, and from many cultures, in a wide variety of settings. She has also taught at college level, in bachelor’s and master’s programs.
