Functional Health Coaching
The foundation: stress, sleep, nutrition, movement and the nervous system, looked at together rather than one at a time.
Longevity
Longevity work with Matt DeWild, RN, for people who intend to stay well, sharp and active for a long time. It starts where your health is decided every day: your nervous system, your habits and your own biology.

What longevity means here
Lifespan is how long you live. Healthspan is how much of that time you spend in good health, doing what matters to you. Healthspan is the part you can work on, and it is what this is about.
Where it starts
When your nervous system stays on guard, your body spends its resources on getting through the day rather than on repair. Sleep gets lighter, digestion suffers, recovery slows and the habits you know would help become harder to keep. Over years, that adds up.
So the work begins by settling the load, not by adding more to do. From there, nutrition, movement, sleep and recovery have something to build on, and what you learn about your own biology becomes useful rather than interesting.
What changes
Longevity is rarely decided by one dramatic thing. It is decided by what you do most weeks, for a long time: how you sleep, how you eat, how you move, how you recover and how you handle pressure.
The plan is built to be kept. It is shaped around your life, your goals and what you are willing to do, and it is adjusted as you learn what helps you most.
How the work is done
The three principles behind everything at Integrated Functional Health, applied to the long run.
Ease the load on your nervous system, with practical ways to settle stress and support sleep, so your body has the conditions to rest and repair.
Help the different parts of your brain work together for better function across mind and body, so what you intend and what you actually do stop pulling against each other.
Build nutrition, movement, sleep and recovery around your real life, informed by what your own biology suggests, and adjust as the years change what you need.
What it draws on
Longevity is not a separate service bolted on to the rest. It is what these are for, brought together and sequenced so they build on each other.

The foundation: stress, sleep, nutrition, movement and the nervous system, looked at together rather than one at a time.

A cheek swab and coaching that turn what your genes suggest into practical choices for food, sleep, stress and activity.

A brain based approach to the habits and patterns behind eating, because carrying less weight changes how the next twenty years feel.

Education and coaching alongside independent licensed medical providers, who decide whether peptides are appropriate for you.
Is this for you
It suits people who are not in crisis and do not want to wait for one.

Your guide
Longevity is one part of Matt's work, and the theme that runs across the rest of it. It is where his services meet: functional health coaching, functional genomics, weight loss and peptide education, held together as one plan for the years ahead.
Matt is a registered nurse, massage therapist, internationally board certified hypnotist and hypnosis instructor, with over 30 years in healthcare. He has worked in emergency rooms, trauma centers and flight nursing, and in mental health and addictions, where he saw both what the body can survive and how much of health is decided long before a crisis.
His approach follows from that. Settle the nervous system first, understand the person in front of him, and build something that can be kept for years rather than weeks.
Plainly
How to start
Choose a time that suits you, in person in Bettendorf or online. It takes about a minute.
Spend 30 minutes on where your health is now and what you want the next ten or twenty years to look like.
Begin where it will help most, and add the other parts only if and when they are worth it.
Questions
It means healthspan, which is the part of your life you spend in good health, rather than lifespan alone. The aim is the energy to do what you care about, a clear mind, relationships that matter and a sense of purpose, for as much of your life as possible.
No. Nobody here slows or reverses aging, and anyone who promises that is selling something. This is education and coaching about the things that are known to shape how well you age: stress and your nervous system, sleep, nutrition, movement, recovery, and the choices that follow from your own biology.
Longevity is one part of what Matt does, and the theme that runs across the rest of it. He is a registered nurse, massage therapist, internationally board certified hypnotist and hypnosis instructor, with over 30 years in healthcare, including emergency, trauma and flight nursing and mental health and addictions. That is the background he brings to it, alongside the nervous system approach the whole practice is built on.
No. Most people begin with one part, usually a conversation about where they are now, and add others only if they would help. The consult is where you decide together what is worth starting with.
Integrated Functional Health does not prescribe. Where a peptide or a medication may be worth considering, an independent licensed medical provider makes their own assessment and their own decision. Matt's part is education, coordination and the coaching around it.
