For the one who is holding it all together, and quietly falling apart.

When It Feels Like Too Much is a gentle, practical guide to anxiety, low mood and emotional overload, written by a licensed therapist for people who look fine on the outside. Read it tonight, at your own pace, and see yourself in it.

  • 53 pages, 8 short chapters
  • Reflection questions in every chapter
  • Free, straight to your inbox

Is this you?

You show up for everyone. Inside, it feels like too much.

You get out of bed, make it to work, answer the messages and smile when someone asks how you are. And underneath, you are more tired, more anxious and more alone than anyone knows.

  • Exhausted the moment you wake up
  • Replaying conversations, sure you said something wrong
  • No longer enjoying the things you used to love
  • Wanting to be alone, then feeling lonely when you are
  • Telling yourself you should be able to handle this

If you nodded along, this guide was written for you. Nothing is wrong with you. You have been carrying too much, for too long, without enough support.

What is inside

Eight short chapters you can read in one sitting, or one at a time.

Each chapter explains what is happening in your mind and body, then gives you a few questions to reflect on, so the guide becomes about your life, not just ideas.

  1. You are not lazy, broken or failing

Why overload looks like showing up and quietly suffering, and why it is not a character flaw.

  2. The hidden signs

How anxiety, depression and trauma show up in people who seem to have it all together.

  3. Why you cannot just push through

What “once this week is over, I will rest” is costing you, and what to do instead.

  4. When your own mind feels like the enemy

Understanding the inner critic that rarely leaves you alone.

  5. A whole person path to healing

Why working with the nervous system, not only thoughts, helps change last.

  6. You just need to start somewhere

Small, doable first steps for when everything feels like too much.

  7. What working with Molly looks like

What therapy or coaching with her is actually like, so there is nothing to fear.

  8. You are not alone, and you are not too much

How to take the first step toward feeling like yourself again.

Who wrote it

Molly Hinke-DeWild, LISW

Molly is a licensed independent social worker in Iowa and a therapist at Integrated Functional Health, with a Master of Social Work, an MA in Clinical Psychology and an MBA. She has worked with hundreds of people, of all ages and from many cultures.

She also knows this territory from the inside. A difficult and traumatic time in her own life, and the therapy that helped her through it, is what turned her from a career in business toward becoming a therapist.

Healing begins the moment you are no longer carrying it all by yourself.

Questions

About the guide

Is the guide really free?

Yes. Tell us where to send it and it arrives in your inbox. There is nothing to buy.

What happens after I ask for it?

Molly emails you the guide straight away. Over the following days she sends a few short follow up notes that build on it. You can unsubscribe from any of them with one click.

Who is it for?

Adults who keep showing up for work, family and everyone else, while feeling anxious, low, numb or overwhelmed underneath. You do not need a diagnosis, and you do not need to be a client.

Is reading the guide the same as therapy?

No. The guide is education, written by a licensed therapist. If you would like support with what it brings up, you can book a consultation with Molly. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 any time.

Can I read it on my phone?

Yes. It is a PDF you can read on a phone, tablet or computer, or print if you prefer paper.

When you are ready for more

The next step can be a conversation.

If the guide puts words to what you are feeling, a 15 minute call with Molly is a simple, private next step.
